¡Cuanto asusta a los gobiernos la libertad de internet!

Me he encontrado con esta noticia de que en Australia hacen un llamamiento para que SKYPE aumente su seguridad o sino sea prohibida. Viendo la lista de países donde ya han prohibido SKYPE (China, Oman, y Emiratos Arabes) me parece a mí que lo que les preocupa no es la seguridad de los usuarios sino la falta de control que los gobiernos pueden tener sobre este tipo de telefonía, que como dice el artículo "....this telephony is undetectable, untraceable and unauditable". Y ¿Australia quiere unirse a esta prohibición? ¡Qué poco sabemos de ese país!

The control that these governments wish to place on their denizens is shocking. And what is really suprising is how many American companies ( especially the ones that are regarded as "progressive") are willing to play by China's oppressive rules just to capture some of their market share (e.g. Google). I am reluctant to blame Microsoft for their role in pandering to China because of all the piracy they must combat there...but we will see how noble their behavior will be and whether or not they will uphold American principles or act as greedy bastards. vamos a ver
