Eminem has no agenda to propagate violence. I think Coppola and Puzo have done more to glorify violence with their Godfather movies than has Eminem. Eminem is a character created by Mathers to exorcise his demons. On his records he vents. He is not boastful and he does not promote a life of excess and materialism as do the vast majority of Hip Hop artists. I am not a fan, but I understand why kids like him. Eminem is an extreme character who raps to express himself. Teenagers feel everything in an extreme way, and will grow out of him, or at least realize he is an over-the-top caricature...I hope.
